HII Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Logistics planning professional to plan, schedule and manage the efficient material flow from receiving to production. You will develop raw material requirements from engineering and production plans and coordinate with purchasing, warehouse and production teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and multiple years of progressive experience; master’s degree or alternatives listed may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive professional and/or supervisory experience.
• Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's requirement.
• Equivalencies listed in the posting may meet minimum qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
• Develops raw material requirements and scheduling from engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse and production; may use MRP systems; negotiates lead times.

NNS Apprentice School graduate

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

Associate's Degree or equivalent

2 years relevant exempt experience

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years relevant exempt experience

High School/GED + 8 years relevant non-exempt experience
