Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Material Planner I to manage MRP-based demand, supply, and fulfilment for parts, materials, and master data. This role works closely with engineering, quality, production, supply chain, and finance to ensure production schedules align with procurement lead times and BOM accuracy.

The successful candidate will lead the release of purchase planning messages and work orders, while maintaining material visibility and responding to engineering changes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (9+ total years).
• Proven ability to produce material line of balance, and conduct clear to build reviews.
• Master data, order policy, BOM management, planning release and fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Demand, supply, and fulfilment planning within MRP.
• Ensure BOM, parts, and master data are maintained within ERP.
• Release purchase planning messages to procurement.
• Release work orders to production.
• Update demand to accommodate engineering changes and communicate to procurement.
• Create visibility of material position (BAL reports, shortages, clear to build).
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, production, and finance to achieve company-wide goals.
• Other duties asked by your manager, relevant to your role.
