Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a Senior Material Planner in Morgan Hill, CA to oversee material readiness for multiple customer programs in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. You will own shortages, coordinate with Buyers, Planners, and Production teams, and ensure timely material delivery to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• Hands-on material planning and production planning in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing shortages, kit readiness, BOMs, inventory, and supply chain execution.

Responsibilities

• Own material readiness and kit availability for assigned programs.
• Monitor shortages and drive closure to minimize schedule risk.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Planners, Program Managers, Production Planning, Procurement and Operations.
• Act as primary liaison with customers on material status, shortages, and delivery risks.
• Track long-lead material risks and elevate issues as needed.
• Analyze demand, inventory and supply data to identify shortages and gaps; propose actions.
• Develop and execute mitigation plans with Production Planning and Procurement.
• Facilitate issue resolution and drive accountability across teams.
