Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Maintenance Technician Specialist to support the industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will apply advanced knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and PLC controls, mentor technicians, and design training programs for site equipment.

You will work with vendors and corporate teams to ensure resources are available locally, and you will lead safety and training initiatives to maintain operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.
• Four years of Industrial Maintenance experience with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, and welding/fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Interpret data from predictive tools and control systems to determine department needs.
• Diagnose and repair the most complex system faults; escalate as needed.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and train staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Develop scopes of work and project plans for small local projects and train staff.
• Follow safety standards and participate in safety meetings and trainings.
• Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• Add documentation and maintain records of maintenance activities.
