Job summary

UFP Industries in Muscle Shoals, AL is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor responsible for full spectrum material handling, inventory control practices, and reporting operations. You will interact with the lead, supervisor, and upper management with a high level of professionalism on a daily basis.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and advanced computer skills to manage cycle counts, BOMs, and ERP-based transfers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in materials handling and inventory control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders and prints; advanced computer skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel reporting.
• Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours.
• Ability to interact with lead, supervisor and upper management.
• Ability to locate product and ensure inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to others and act as a leader.
• Operate as Manager when Manager is off floor or not in building.
• Ensure expert understanding of all material handling roles.
• Understand all departments and how to interact with them.
• Communicate actively with employees and upper management.
• Verify inventory accuracy and financial accuracy in reports.
• Coordinate with project management to expedite customer requests.
• Close jobs (gatekeeper), assign locations, and manage Excel-based reports and transfers.
• Organize and plan shipments for unloading or transit.
• Inspect inbound/outbound goods and resolve discrepancies with a lead or manager.
• Work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Perform cycle counts and report results to lead or area manager.
• Validate BOMs for accuracy.
• Determine storage locations and provide data for transactions.
• Show proficiency in picking and bin-to-bin transfers in the ERP system.
• Handle Receiving/Shipping clerk tasks as assigned.
• Operate lift equipment within limits.
• Scan QR and bar codes during picking.
