Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 years of warehouse, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions; Oracle experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing work orders and inventory management preferred.
  • Shipping and receiving experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience working in an FDA, CLIA, or ISO regulated environment preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials while resolving discrepancies.
  • Perform ERP transactions for inventory management, manufacturing work orders, receiving, and inventory transfers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Execute inventory transfers between warehouse locations, including quarantine and released inventory, while ensuring complete traceability.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through physical verification and system reconciliation.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including freight coordination and compliance with transportation requirements.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and warehouse dock equipment.
  • Maintain proper product identification, inventory rotation, and expiration date control.
  • Support fulfillment activities by accurately picking, packing, and transferring materials.
  • Perform physical and system inventory transfers for chamber moves, freezer defrosts, equipment maintenance, and storage relocations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of freezers and warehouse equipment, reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Monitor warehouse storage capacity and help optimize inventory organization.
  • Support warehouse organization through 5S/6S, Kanban, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other internal customers to support operational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA, CLIA, ISO, and company quality standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred) to maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.

Position Summary

The Senior Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Shift

Tuesday‑Saturday, 6am–5pm Pacific Time (flexible hours).

Hybrid Work Model

Employees living within 50miles of a Guardant facility are required to work onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The remaining days may be spent working from home as per management and policy guidelines.

Compensation

Base salary range (primary location RedwoodCity, CA): $29,000–$40,000. Other U.S. locations: $25,000–$34,000. Colorado: $26,000–$36,000.
