Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in Frederick, MD, is seeking a Lead Material Handler on a contract basis to manage movement of materials and operate under minimal supervision.

You will follow instructions to move goods, prepare loads, and coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA, and Sales as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of experience, and possibly forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle work orders and move materials or containers following instructions.
• Operate under minimal supervision on non-routine tasks and adapt procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA and Sales to resolve issues and support material flow.
• Oversee safe opening of containers and loading/unloading of materials.
• Record materials moved in ERP system and ensure accurate tagging.
