Job summary

You will read blueprints and generate quantities and types of materials, ensuring compliance with building codes.

Candidates should have knowledge of framing practices, carpentry, and experience with blueprint takeoffs and takeoff software; associate degree preferred with 5 years of related

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential, multi-family, and commercial construction framing practices, codes, and carpentry.
• Ability to complete take offs for framing, siding, roofing, windows, and concrete.
• Willing to learn modular home take offs which include framing, interior/exterior packages.
• General computer knowledge and proficiency with office software.
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Develop accurate material lists including quantity and type of materials to be used.
• Ensure conformance to building requirements and codes.
• Interpret design requirements and generate detailed cut sheets.
• Ensure material lists are accurate, optimized, and conformed to standards.
• Review team members take offs for accuracy.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
