Clayton Homes in Utah is seeking an Estimator 3 to develop accurate material lists from architectural plans for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. You will read and interpret blueprints, generate detailed cut sheets, and ensure lists conform to codes and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential, multi-family, and commercial construction framing practices, codes, and carpentry.
• Ability to complete take offs for framing, siding, roofing, windows, and concrete.
• Willing to learn modular home take offs including framing, interior/exterior packages.
• General computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with blueprint takeoff software.
• Strong attention to detail and timely, quality work.
• Associate degree in related field and at least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Develops accurate material lists including quantity and type of materials to be used
• Ensures conformance to building requirements and codes
• Interprets design requirements from manuals and specifications
• Generates detailed cut sheets for final construction
• Ensures material lists are accurate and optimized
• Trains new associates on take-off software
• Reviews team take-offs and bids for accuracy
• Contributes to continuous improvement and team goals
• Complies with company policies and other duties as assigned
