Job summary

IEM in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking a Senior Material Control Technician to join our prototyping team. You will manage materials, ensure availability for builds, support Job Orders and ERP, and prepare cycle counts and kits.

The role requires independent thinking and adherence to production schedules in a shop/warehouse environment. The position emphasizes accurate data transacting, lean practices, and collaboration with purchasing/planning.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse or material control experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of ERP and Order Mana
• 1-2 years of experience, or training in document control.
• Forklift certified.
• Excel
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Production Schedules.
• Validate availability of parts for workorders.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts.
• Maintain inventory levels and order parts.
• Prepare workorder kits.
• Prepare cycle counts and count parts.
• Assist in purchasing and planning.
• Keep storage locations organized and neat.
• Implement visual controls.
• Manage inventory using lean principles.
• Use forklift to store heavy materials such as metals and plastics.
• Participate in process improvement activities.
• Escalate problems and communicate progress.
• Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
• Train and support others.
• Perform other duties as required.
