Job summary

IEM is seeking a Senior Material Control Technician to join our prototyping team in Tualatin, OR. You will manage inventory, ensure material availability for builds, and support Job Orders and ERP with lean principles.

The role requires hands-on material control, cycle counts, and kit preparation. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in warehouse or material control in manufacturing, ERP and order management experience, forklift certification, and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse or material control experience in manufacturing.
• 3-5 years of ERP and order management experience.
• 1-2 years of document control experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Production Schedules.
• Validate availability of parts for work orders.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts.
• Maintain inventory levels and order parts.
• Prepare workorder kits.
• Prepare cycle counts and count parts.
• Assist in purchasing and planning.
• Keep storage locations organized and neat.
• Implement visual controls.
• Manage inventory using lean principles.
• Use forklift to store heavy materials.
• Participate in process improvement activities.
• Escalate problems and communicate progress.
• Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
