Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Material Control Superintendent to lead a Parts Distribution Center operations onsite. You’ll guide supervisors, drive improvements, and ensure on-time delivery, safety, and cost control across inbound/outbound processes.

The role requires SAP/EWM proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex schedules, including nights and holidays. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of operational experience in Logistics within manufacturing.
• Hands on experience with SAP/EWM.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.
• Goal oriented mindset.
• Open to rotating shifts.
• A continuous Improvement mindset with a focus on quality and reduced costs.
• Excellent organizational skills and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center with deadlines and variable conditions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best-in-class performance.
• Manage inbound, outbound, claims processing, and facility maintenance.
• Deliver objectives related to cost, quality, safety, efficiency, absenteeism and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and oversee union-related aspects.
• Supervise and develop material control supervisors.
