Job summary

Ascentec Engineering in Dallas, Oregon seeks a Principal Mastercam Aerospace Programmer for its Rapid NPI team. You will develop advanced CNC programs for aerospace, spaceflight, and defense components, focusing on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, including simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths.

You will rapidly translate customer CAD models and drawings into reliable Mastercam programs and support fast-turn programming with high quality.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience programming complex high-tolerance multi-axis aerospace components.
• Proficient with Mastercam and 5-axis programming.
• Strong interpretation of engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced Mastercam programs for complex aerospace parts.
• Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills including simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths.
• Rapidly convert customer CAD models and drawings into accurate programs.
• Verify toolpaths and simulate to prevent collisions and errors.
• Maintain organized CNC programs and documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Production.
