Job summary

Abaco Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Master Scheduler to develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, aligning customer demand with manufacturing capacity and material availability in a high-performance defense environment.

The role will partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Customer Service to optimize production flow, improve on-time delivery, and support inventory management goals while driving continuous improvements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM/Operations/Business or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support customer demand and business objectives.
• Coordinate production schedules across manufacturing operations to optimize resource utilization and meet delivery commitments.
• Analyze customer demand, backlog, forecasts, and inventory levels to establish production priorities.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations teams to ensure material availability and schedule feasibility.
• Monitor capacity constraints and recommend schedule adjustments to mitigate risks and maximize throughput.
