Job summary

A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Master Production Scheduler at its Stuarts Draft site to translate IBP aggregate plans into detailed, executable production schedules using S/4HANA and PP/DS, while acting as the site's Super User.

Key duties include collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Coordinators to ensure schedules are achievable, balancing service levels and inventory targets, and leading system testing and training for planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of hands‑on SAP experience, including S/4HANA.
• Demonstrated experience as a Super User or system expert in SAP planning modules.
• Experience with IBP integration and understanding of aggregate‑to‑detailed planning flow.

Responsibilities

• Translate IBP aggregate plans into detailed, feasible production schedules in S/4HANA, factoring in capacity constraints, material availability, production wheels, and priorities.
• Utilize PP/DS for finite capacity scheduling, sequencing optimization, and constraint-based planning.
• Monitor and resolve planning exceptions, material shortages, and capacity conflicts in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Coordinators to ensure schedules are executable and aligned with plant capabilities.
• Balance competing priorities such as service levels, inventory targets, and production efficiency to create optimal schedules.
• Liaise with Network Planners, Raw Materials Planners, and Production Coordinators to ensure seamless plan execution.
• Serve as the site-level subject matter expert for S/4HANA PP, PP/DS, and IBP integration.
• Maintain and optimize production planning master data, including production wheels, PIRs, routing updates, shift patterns, and capacity models.
• Ensure Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) are accurate and aligned with network transfer plans.
• Participate in system testing for new features, updates, and enhancements, validating planning logic and system behavior.
• Train and mentor Master Production Schedulers and Production Coordinators on system functionality, planning processes, and best practices.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, document lessons learned, and promote best practices across the site and network.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve planning accuracy, system performance, and process efficiency.
• Provide inputs for site S&OP meetings, including capacity assessments, production constraints, and execution performance.
• Support organizational change initiatives related to new systems, processes, or operational improvements.
