Related Midwest is seeking a Senior Master Planner to guide the strategic master planning for The 78 and related multi-disciplinary efforts. You will lead design teams, align open spaces, infrastructure, and public realm strategies, and ensure cohesive integration across a high-profile site in Chicago.

The role requires a professional architecture/urban planning degree, licensure, and 10+ years in large-scale urban planning.

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or equivalent.
Licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience in large-scale urban, mixed-use, or campus planning.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder design and planning efforts.
Strong understanding of site infrastructure, civil coordination, and urban systems.
Experience with waterfront or climate-resilient design is a plus.
Excellent ability to articulate planning vision and guide diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the master plan including land use, massing, circulation, infrastructure and public realm frameworks.
Guide design vision across parcels and building types.
Evaluate design proposals for site-wide consistency and feasibility.
Coordinate with Development and Construction to align program, schedule and budget.
Oversee master planning from concept through documentation phases.
Coordinate with architectural, landscape, and building teams to support future construction.
Review consultant drawings for coordination, accuracy, and quality.
Support phased multi-year development rollout.
