Master Plan Advisory in Houston, TX seeks a Master Planning Project Manager / Urban Designer to lead master plan projects from inception to completion across multiple markets. The role requires strong graphic-driven site planning, 3D layout with SketchUp/Rhino/AutoCAD, and collaboration with clients and internal teams to keep work moving forward.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in project management with a focus on master planning and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master Planning/Urban Design focus preferred).
• 4–6 years of experience in project management with a strong background in master planning and development work (not interiors).
• Strong proficiency with SketchUp, Rhino, and AutoCAD for 2D/3D site layout, plus advanced PowerPoint and Creative Suite experience (graphic work is essential).
• Solid understanding of entitlements, procedures, risks, and timelines; ability to support feasibility and due diligence deliverables.
• Availability to travel to support projects nationwide and strong client/stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver master plan projects from inception to completion across Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Institutional, Industrial, and Life Sciences.
• Lead site assessments and due diligence nationwide; translate findings into clear planning outputs.
• Create and manage 2D/3D density studies and site test fits, including scenario planning and bubble diagram work.
• Develop implementation plans reflecting constructability, zoning analysis, and entitlement support.
• Coordinate across internal teams and support multiple concurrent projects (3–5).
