Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Master Facilities Technician for our Space Structures Complex. You will lead build-out projects, maintain HVAC systems, and oversee renovations to support rapid growth and production timelines.

Key duties include preventative maintenance, safety compliance, plumbing support, and managing the JIRA ticketing system. This role requires a licensed HVAC professional with 10+ years in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HVAC maintenance experience and a High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman or Master HVACR license.
• Facility maintenance experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead facility build-out and improvement projects from planning to commissioning.
• Maintain, repair, and upgrade HVAC systems to ensure performance.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance for all building systems.
• Manage day-to-day facility operations, renovations, and upgrades.
• Assist with plumbing maintenance and new installations.
• Ensure safety compliance and manage hazardous waste in line with regs.
• Oversee ticketing in JIRA and track work orders to completion.
• Support implementation of Building Management/BMS systems.
• Maintain site safety, security, and cleanliness across the complex.
• Respond to facility emergencies and after-hours calls as needed.
