Job summary

CSS is seeking a Manager - Master Data Governance to lead the customer data governance program in Glenview, IL. You will coordinate data stewards, set standards, and monitor KPIs to ensure data quality and usability across systems.

The role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and hands-on governance operations, with travel up to 25%. You will drive processes, mentor staff, and participate in roadmap execution for customer data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or business; master's preferred.
• 5 years in master data management, data governance or data operations.
• Informatica Customer 360 knowledge preferred.
• 3+ years with Informatica MDM and Data Solutions.
• 1+ years management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of data concepts, data quality management, data controls, and enterprise data operating models.
• Strong leadership and project management experience across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
• Skilled in the management of complex systems and navigating through ambiguity.
• 5 years of Leadership presence with the ability to formulate and communicate clear vision preferred.
• Solid analytical skills - able to solve problems & interpret instructions in any form.
• Communication – ability to pass messages using different channels (verbal and written).
• Facilitating – ability to organize and facilitate multidisciplinary teams through Project (large or small).
• Change management – ability to communicate a need for change, create all necessary conditions for successful change and overcome different forms of resistance.
• Coaching – ability to coach people to develop their skills and abilities to achieve agreed upon objectives.
• Training – ability to identify and formulate training needs and assure training execution and follow up.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Plan governance activities through collection, governance and curation of customer data.
• Manage and support Customer Master Data Domain Governance activities and embed governance practices.
• Partner with business functions to implement governance principles and roadmap activities in the customer domain.
• Maintain master data standards, data quality rules, controls, and stewardship practices.
• Coordinate data stewards, governance specialists, analysts, and technical partners for governance support.
• Track and report governance KPIs and data-quality metrics; support external audit controls.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen stewardship workflows in governance operations.
• Create new entities and attributes within the data to extend customer data capabilities.
• Track value creation for the enterprise through the customer data roadmap.
• Manage, evaluate and develop staff; provide coaching and development opportunities.
• Oversee evaluation, configuration, and maintenance of master data systems.
• Recommend changes in programs, routines and quality standards.
• Meet with product owners and leadership to resolve problems and discuss purchases.
