Job summary

Mass General Brigham invites applications for a Sr. Research Lab Tech in the lab of Thierry Nordmann, MD, PhD.

The role will operate and maintain the mass spectrometry platform and execute workflows spanning tissue processing, immunofluorescence imaging, LMD, low-input proteomics, and ultra-sensitive MS. You will collaborate with postdoctoral and computational colleagues to generate high-quality proteomic data on the Orbitrap Astral, helping establish core methods and SOPs for the group.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on LC-MS experience in proteomics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Experience with tissue processing and MS workflow development.
• Strong SOP documentation and protocol-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify assay techniques and SOPs.
• Synthesize and interpret results.
• Prepare written and/or verbal status reports.
• Perform statistical analysis and make recommendations.
• Independently perform non-routine, highly specialized experimental procedures.
• Contribute to research reports and manuscripts.
