Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Staff Mask Design Engineer to join our Analog and Mixed-Signal IC layout team for Automotive applications. You will define, develop, and deliver manufacturable layouts across IP, block, and Chip Top levels.

You will lead floorplanning, drive layout verification (DRC/LVS/PEX), and collaborate with design, CAD, and reliability teams to ensure on-time, high-quality silicon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Microelectronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in Analog and Mixed-Signal IC layout design.
• Proven experience delivering complex layouts at IP, block, and Chip Top level.
• Experience in automotive or safety-critical semiconductor products is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical layouts for Automotive products at IP, block, and Chip Top level.
• Lead floorplanning activities for blocks and top-level designs.
• Collaborate with design, verification, CAD, and technology teams to minimize rework.
• Execute and sign off physical verification flows (DRC, LVS, ERC, DFM, PEX).
• Identify root causes and propose solutions from first silicon or prototypes.
