Cactus Jack's Auto, a growing automotive retailer, seeks a Senior Marketing Strategist (Marketing Analytics) in Phoenix. Lead analytics and guide where marketing dollars go, shaping decisions across inventory, approvals, and customer value. Hybrid role with strong emphasis on data quality and measurement.
You’ll report to the Head of Data & Analytics and collaborate with marketing, operations and developers, owning measurement and testing as the business scales toward an ambitious growth plan.
Cactus Jack's Auto is hiring a Senior Marketing Strategy Analyst to help shape marketing decisions across its growing automotive retail business in Arizona and Texas. The company sells cars and finances and services its own loans, so marketing results depend on inventory, approvals, credit quality and customer value over time.
The company expects to nearly double the size of the business over the next 14 months, with a ten-year plan to grow several times larger. As marketing scales, this position will help shape how the company measures performance and where it invests.
This is a strategy role built on technical depth. You'll set direction, and you'll need to understand how marketing data moves from first click to funded loan well enough to design it and catch when it breaks. Strong data and marketing analytics fundamentals are a requirement, because you can't build good strategy on numbers you can't trust.
You'll report to the Head of Data & Analytics and work with marketing, operations and developers. You decide how marketing data should flow; developers build it, and you check that it works. The analytics team works AI-first and values the judgment to know when to challenge an answer. Writing SQL is not required.
Start by learning the funnel, data and attribution setup. By day 120, priorities include owning marketing measurement, website testing and email and SMS reporting, and helping launch remarketing for returning customers. The team will discuss the full plan in the first interview.
Automotive, lending or multi-location retail experience is helpful. Automotive experience is not required. Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta, GA4, PostHog, HYROS, BigQuery or dbt is helpful.
Humble, hungry and smart. You care more about getting it right than being right, teach yourself what you need and investigate when a number doesn't add up. Tools can be learned. Character can't.
Full-time, hybrid in Phoenix, with one to two office days a week and some travel to dealership locations, including Texas.
$100,000 to $115,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus.
Bring your analytical depth, strategic judgment and curiosity to the conversation.
