Job summary

Empower is seeking a Writer Marketing RFP to independently manage the end-to-end proposal process across a range of sectors in the United States. You will craft and refine persuasive responses, coordinate with sales and SMEs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.

You should bring 5–7 years of experience in retirement plan or professional services proposals, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and content management tools.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related discipline.
• Five to seven years’ experience developing proposals in retirement plan services or professional services.
• Experience supporting above average and complex proposal projects.
• Understanding of investment and retirement terminology.
• Thorough understanding of the proposal development process and coordinating all facets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
• Strong interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience mentoring and training others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire RFP process from receipt to submission within established timelines.
• Compose and edit proposal documents professionally and credibly.
• Coordinate with sales and cross-functional teams for custom responses.
• Work closely with subject matter experts.
• Conduct research on client needs, industry trends, and competitors.
• Lead and contribute on cross-functional projects and process improvements.
• Support varying project complexities with flexibility for volume.
• Peer review for junior proposal members and mentor as needed.
• Assist with content library maintenance and material updates.
• Update internal tracking systems for real-time reporting.
