Opportunity at a Glance

We seek an experienced marketing professional with a strong understanding of the fraud marketplace—either through direct experience at a financial institution or within the fraud ecosystem from a technology provider. The role involves expanding our fraud-focused audience through strategic partnerships, content distribution, and event marketing. The ideal candidate is impact-driven, stays current with marketing trends including AI, and excels in communication and cross-team collaboration. This is an autonomous role within a mission-driven organization with a reputable brand.

Responsibilities

  1. Audience Growth & Engagement: Develop strategies to expand ACAMS’ presence in the fraud space, increasing our audience and engagement with members, events, and products.
  2. Partnership & Ecosystem Marketing: Collaborate with technology providers, industry groups, and financial institutions on co-marketing initiatives to broaden reach and strengthen our brand.
  3. Community Activation: Use social media, especially LinkedIn, to engage the community in conversations around fraud.
  4. Event Marketing:
    1. Plan and execute ACAMS’ participation in fraud-focused events, including sponsorships, webinars, and experiences.
    2. Partner with sales for pre-event, during, and post-event marketing to maximize ROI and engagement.
    3. Innovate with new virtual and in-person event initiatives.
  5. Insights and Reporting: Analyze campaign and audience data to refine strategies, measure impact, and meet revenue targets.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2+ years in fraud or financial crime.
  2. Experience in B2B marketing, fintech, regtech, or financial services.
  3. Proven success in partnerships and audience growth initiatives.
  4. Strong project management skills for handling multiple initiatives.
  5. Proficiency with marketing automation, AI tools, social media, and analytics platforms.
  6. Preference for candidates based in DC; consideration for other East Coast states.
