Moloco is seeking a Data Storytelling Lead to transform complex datasets into clear external narratives for Moloco's research outputs and thought leadership. The role requires independent project work, cross-functional collaboration, and strong SQL/Python/R skills to produce defensible analyses.

Qualifications

• Strong data storytelling skills as a core competency.
• Experience producing rigorous, defensible research and thought leadership.
• Hands-on experience in mobile, advertising, or ad tech.
• Intellectual honesty under scrutiny and willingness to revise claims.
• Experience executing projects independently with external partners.
• Industry knowledge in mobile/advertising/ad tech.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a genuine thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Rigorous, hands-on analytical ability: SQL plus Python/R and BI platforms Looker/Tableau.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute data storytelling for Moloco's external research and thought leadership, transforming messy data into a clear narrative for press and customers.
• Serve as the approval gate for first-party marketing claims ahead of legal review.
• Independently execute research projects within scope, coordinating with external partners.
• Bring industry context and business judgment to identify defensible insights.
• Partner with Legal and PMM as a genuine thought partner and challenge assumptions.
• Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and content production while guarding against AI errors.
