Job summary

Credible is seeking a temporary Marketing Automation Solutions Architect to cover for a leave, serving as the technical authority for marketing automation platforms, data flows, and integrations across Snowflake, dbt, and AWS. This senior, hands-on role supports revenue-critical programs while our architect is out.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with enterprise email/marketing automation platform.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar.
• Advanced HTML/CSS for responsive emails and cross-client rendering.
• Experience with API integrations (SOAP/REST) and secure auth flows.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and dbt, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, CASL and data privacy practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and Jira workflows.
• Excellent communication across marketers, compliance, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day technical authority for Credible's marketing automation platform: configuration, data flows, integrations, and sync logic with other internal systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot multi-touch email journeys, including entry criteria, branching, throttling, and exit rules.
• Extend personalization logic in AMPscript, Liquid, Handlebars, or SSJS.
• Write and review SQL for audience segmentation, data design, and test/cohort frameworks.
• Collaborate with MAT Manager to validate audiences and monitor data flows.
• Ensure compliance features (consent, unsubscribe, PII) meet legal and security standards.
• Maintain secure integration patterns and environment handling.
• Participate in MAT's code reviews and rely on documented standards.
• Escalate technical problems and support the Lifecycle Marketing team.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and work within Jira/sprint processes.
• Collaborate with BI/Data Eng, Eng, InfoSec, and Legal to keep releases production-ready.
• Document work and hand off to the full-time architect.
