Position Summary
As Senior Marketing and Business Development Coordinator you will provide tactical and operational business development and marketing support for the US and Canada investment management team, as well as for other regions, business lines and projects as required, including global initiatives.
Reporting to the Marketing and Business Development Manager (Americas), you will support and work closely with the US and Canada Investment Mangers as a key player in executing the team’s strategic efforts to generate new client relationships, expand existing relationships, and elevate the company’s market profile.
Based in New York, the ideal candidate is self-starting, highly-motivated and solution-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication. They are able to promote the company through marketing campaigns and business development support and are comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced, dynamic organization with a willingness to provide support at all levels. The ability to establish credibility with senior stakeholders and exercise excellent judgment and problem-solving skills is critical.

Role Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of BD tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of individual Investment Managers and the US team as a whole
- With the Marketing and BD Manager, proactively assist the US Investment Management team in the execution of their marketing and BD plans
- Track news and internal/external intelligence to gain an in-depth understanding of the market including the company’s current and prospective client base, business lines, industry trends and competitive landscape
- Research, analyze, and develop reports to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships, leveraging the company’s CRM system and external databases and resources
- Monitor marketplace developments affecting existing and prospective clients, to quickly identify and react to lead-generation opportunities
- Draft concise and strategically relevant prep materials for Investment Managers engaging in client pitches, presentations, and BD trips (e.g. contact maps, bios, related news, case information)
- Engage in consistent follow up with key stakeholders and track metrics to measure group and individual ROI on marketing activities, progress, and BD results against plans and reporting on progress in local/ global trackers and CRM
- Compile materials for yearly directory submissions including drafting/updating case studies, marketing messages, media lists, etc.
- Plan, support, assist logistics, and follow up tracking for events, conferences, and sponsorships
- With internal stakeholders, support development of proposals and pitches for new business opportunities including compiling research and CRM data, relevant case studies, and drafting / editing materials
- Edit and update marketing collateral as required (e.g., brochures, flyers, factsheets, and guides) aligned to global brand standards working with the Manager and design team
- Assist in development of communications and social media strategy, such as, editing and publishing blog posts, preparing newsletters, drafting social media posts, and working with the design team on any associated graphics
- Maintain internal marketing calendar and other database tracking systems
- Support other regional and global projects as required
Desired Skills and Experience
- To be considered, candidates must have 3-5 years of relevant marketing and/or business development experience, preferably within a law firm, financial services, or professional services environment
- Candidates must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
