Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Chicago, IL to support the Market Risk space. You will respond to business queries, manage user mailboxes, handle feed/batch items, and oversee incident management using ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk.

The role requires 10+ years in production support, strong SQL and UNIX/Linux, ITIL knowledge, and excellent communication. Collaboration across regions and automation opportunities are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Production Support experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Working knowledge of ITIL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent project and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-regional team.
• Working knowledge of ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk.
• Working knowledge of Autosys and Bob jobs.
• Python scripting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve business queries for Market Risk space.
• Manage user query mailbox effectively and ensure timely responses.
• Respond to and resolve feed and batch support items; manage alerts.
• Use ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk to update and report.
• Incident management with timely user notifications and escalations.
• Documentation and knowledge management.
• Coordinate resolutions with development teams.
• Assist with metrics reporting.
• Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and related paperwork.
• Organize and run meetings for issue resolution.
• Identify scope for automation of repetitive tasks.
