Genesis10 is seeking a Product Owner for a 12+ month contract in Jersey City, NJ. You will define the product vision, prioritize the backlog, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specs for multiple workstreams within Market Risk technology.

You will collaborate with business and risk managers, drive end-to-end IT changes in risk processes, and ensure governance and control across project delivery. Strong market risk knowledge and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Market Risk domains and regulatory frameworks (Basel III, FRTB).

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a Product Owner supporting the Market Risk Technology team, your responsibilities will include defining the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. You will collaborate with business and risk managers to define business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for various workstreams across regulatory and other Global Markets programs.

Responsibilities:

• Define the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team
• Collaborate with business & risk managers to define business requirements & translate them for developers into detailed technical specifications for various workstreams across Regulatory and other Global Markets programs
• Support end-to-end IT change initiatives, implementing changes to various risk processes, systems & metrics like generating VaR, Stressed VaR, Risk sensitivities, etc.
• Assist with the analysis & testing of implementations
• Ensure project governance & control processes around project delivery
• Leverage a strong foundation of the market risk domain to manage the delivery of market risk infrastructure changes

Requirements:

• Knowledge of both business and technology domains related to Market Risk
• Strong understanding of market risk metrics and familiarity with regulatory frameworks like Basel III or FRTB
• Prior experience working on significant technical delivery within Global Markets Technology or Risk Technology at a large financial services company
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and quantitative model partners and stakeholders
• Experience in synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations to non-technical partners
• Hands-on with Excel & SQL
• Prior experience with Agile and JIRA
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Desired skills:

• Experience working with Python / Quartz is desirable

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
