Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Chicago, IL to support the Market Risk space. You will respond to business queries, manage user mailboxes, handle feed/batch items, and oversee incident management using ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk.

The role requires 10+ years in production support, strong SQL and UNIX/Linux, ITIL knowledge, and excellent communication. Collaboration across regions and automation opportunities are key aspects of the job.

Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Support Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chicago, IL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves providing production support for the Market Risk space. The candidate will be responsible for responding to and resolving business queries, managing user query mailboxes, handling feed and batch support items, and managing incidents using framework tools such as ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to and resolve business queries for Market Risk space
• Manage user query mailbox effectively, understand the scope of team's work and ensure timely and appropriate response is provided for all user queries
• Respond to and resolve feed and batch support items, Manage alerts and monitoring
• Utilize important framework tools such as ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk, etc. for both making updates and producing reports
• Incident management - provide timely and accurate user notifications as well as managing escalations when needed
• Documentation and knowledge management
• Follow up and coordinate resolutions with various development teams
• Assist with metrics reporting
• Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and related paperwork
• Organize and run meetings independently for issue resolution
• Identify scope for automation to reduce manual, repeating tasks

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Production Support experience
• Strong SQL Knowledge
• Strong UNIX / LINUX knowledge
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Working knowledge of ITIL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent project and time management skills

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
