Job summary
PJM Interconnection is seeking a Market Design Specialist to advance market structures and rules across PJM’s markets. The role involves independent analysis, designing innovative market design strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to support reliability during energy transition.
The position emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, preparing position papers, and leading complex design initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 5 years of Engineer/Analyst experience.
- Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.
- PJM sponsorship for STEM OPT is not available.
Responsibilities
- Market analysis of electricity market trends and PJM rules.
- Develop market design concepts and strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare position papers for internal decisions on market design matters.
- Engage with stakeholders and regulators and support FERC filings.
