Job summary

PJM Interconnection, LLC in Audubon, PA (Hybrid) is seeking a Senior Market Design Specialist to support the Manager of Market Design in enhancing PJM's energy markets, designing and analyzing market structures to ensure reliability during the energy transition.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and regulators to develop innovative market design solutions, lead complex analyses, and guide the evolution of PJM's tariff and governing documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
5 years of experience Engineer/Analyst position.
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Research: conduct comprehensive analysis of electricity market trends and PJM rules to identify opportunities or inform design decisions.
Market Design and Analysis: perform independent complex studies and analyses to evolve PJM markets.
Stakeholder and Regulatory Engagement: manage expectations and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders; assist in revising governing documents and FERC filings.
Project Management: lead implementation of complex market design initiatives and drive cross-functional teams to consensus on approaches.
