Job summary

SAIC in Springfield, VA is seeking a Maritime Technology Senior Systems Engineer to lead planning, initiation, and execution of new tech projects, including CONOPs, requirements, and milestone schedules. The role supports DoD/IC programs and coordinates with senior stakeholders across the program and community.

The successful candidate will develop innovative concepts of operation to address maritime threats, oversee system integration, testing, and transition to deployment, and travel as needed

Qualifications

• Nine+ years of technical project management and systems engineering experience in DoD/IC programs.
• Experience with unmanned underwater/robotic and acoustic systems is a plus.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level systems engineering and programmatic support for technology systems development, acquisition, integration, prototyping, testing and deployment.
• Develop CONOPs, requirements, performance work statements and milestone/schedule plans.
• Interface with government officers and lead cross-functional teams to translate strategy into actionable tasks.
• Track milestones, actions, and decisions; prepare executive-level reports and briefings.
