Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the NSWC Crane and the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile – Nuclear (SLCM-N) program at Washington Navy Yard, DC. You will perform a broad range of systems engineering activities, including requirements formulation, architecture development, validation, verification, and lifecycle cost analysis to deliver mission solutions on schedule and within cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline with related experience.
• Experience performing systems engineering activities including requirements development, design, integration, and verification/validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard industry tools.
• Interim secret clearance to start with ability to obtain a secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities across concept of operations, requirements, architecture, analysis, integration, and verification.
• Support system architecting, design, integration, and verification across the program lifecycle.
• Conduct lifecycle cost analysis, estimation, and decision analysis to support program planning.
• Collaborate with government staff, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex issues.
• Support program milestone reviews (PDRs, CDRs, TIMs) and provide technical leadership to team members.
