Job summary

Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential. Applicants should have a bachelor’s in engineering, 7+ years in marine engineering or vessel management, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Experience: Seven or more years in marine engineering, fleet technical operations, or vessel management with supervisory experience.
• Languages: English.
• Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and fleet management abilities.
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple vessels and projects.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, mentor, and develop Technical Superintendents and Assistant Technical Superintendents.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set development goals, provide coaching, and uphold standards.
• Ensure vessel performance and budget targets are met for assigned vessels.
• Maintain technical accountability for a limited number of vessels.
• Oversee safe, efficient operation and maintenance programs across vessels.
• Review budgets, procurement, and vendor invoices; manage drydock planning and execution.
