Shield AI is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer focused on maritime autonomy. You will deploy Hivemind software with customers on-site globally, including long international engagements.

You will become an expert user of the Hivemind stack and work closely with engineering while supporting customers through deployment and post-deployment phases. You should have a strong software background (C++, Python), enjoy problem-solving, and thrive at the intersection of engineering and real-world

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years in an integration or applications engineering role.
• 2+ years in startup environment.
• Strong technical background in software engineering.
• Experience with maritime platforms or autonomous vessels.

Mansioni

• Deploy with customers on-site globally (up to 50% travel) to support software integration and on-water testing.
• Become an expert user of the Hivemind enterprise software stack and its autonomy modules.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Develop AI and autonomy applications using the Shield AI SDK for maritime missions.
• Assist the sales team in demonstrations and immersion events.
• Assist in post-sales deployment and integration with maritime platform controls, sensors, and navigation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Help customers debug software and API integration issues.
• Collaborate with product engineering to address customer feedback and improve products.
