Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer who will work directly with customers to deploy Hivemind software and integrate autonomy products. This travel-intensive role demands frequent on-site engagements, including international trips, and a hands-on mindset.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, grow into technical leadership, and help customers succeed with deployments, training, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years in an integration/applications engineering role.
• 2+ years in a startup environment.
• Strong proficiency in writing modern C++ code; intermediate Python.

Responsibilities

• Deploy with customers on site globally (~50% travel) to support software integration.
• Become an expert user of the Hivemind enterprise software stack and its autonomy modules.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Develop AI & Autonomy applications using the Shield AI development kit.
• Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities (demos, immersion events).
• Collaborate with product engineering to address customer feedback and improve products.
