Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Marine Surveyor to join its North America Marine Division. The role involves applying expert knowledge of maritime rules and regulations to classify ships and offshore assets, and to ensure the accuracy and quality of surveys and reports.

The successful candidate will lead surveying activities, coordinate teams, and interact with clients to resolve issues, while maintaining high standards of integrity and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surveyor or 6+ years in engineering/inspection with an IACS member Classification Society.
• Strong understanding of RINA Rules, Guides and statutory regulations.
• Ability to read engineering plans and understand ship systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts.
• Conduct routine surveys on ships and offshore assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
• Prepare technically accurate, timely inspection reports and certificates.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate surveying work across projects.
• Engage with clients to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced surveyors.
