Job summary

Serco is seeking experienced Senior Marine Pipe Welders to support U.S. Navy ship modernization programs. You will interpret NAVSEA specifications and blueprints, fabricate and install piping systems aboard Navy vessels, and perform welding to NAVSEA standards using TIG, Flux Core, Stick, and MIG processes.

Senior staff will mentor junior welders and assist with planning and quality assurance. You will need at least 8 years of shipboard welding experience, be able to obtain a Secret clearance,

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years shipboard pipe welding or related industrial welding experience.
• Proficient in GTAW (TIG) and FCAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and shipboard piping systems.
• Experience installing MAF Lokring fittings or equivalent mechanical piping systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret NAVSEA specifications, blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Fabricate, fit, modify, repair, and install piping systems aboard Navy vessels.
• Perform welding per NAVSEA standards and approved WPSs.
• Install and maintain MAF Lokring mechanical fittings.
• Support production leadership and mentor junior welders.
