Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Marine Operations Manager to lead marine operations with emphasis on small boat maintenance and operation, directing Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and support staff.

Responsibilities include program management on multiple contracts, serving as primary technical customer contact, supervising workforce, developing client relationships, and supporting capture plans and proposals, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of marine operations experience OR 5 years with a BS in management, marine transportation or engineering.
• Proactive, able to communicate with all levels of staff and customers.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage projects across multiple geographic locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management on multiple contracts and/or task orders.
• Serve as the primary technical customer contact for assigned contracts.
• Supervise contract workforce including hiring, salary and performance management.
• Lead business development activities including capturing opportunities and proposal support.
