Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Marine Mechanic-Level III Technician for full-time work.

The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and material assessment of marine propulsion and power generation for patrol boats and associated systems, in conformity with OEM specs for CONUS & OCONUS locations. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment failures from schematics, performing tests, lay-ups and start-ups for boats in mid-level storage, and

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational degree or GED.
A minimum of 3 years’ general experience in their trade.
2 consecutive years of experience repairing and troubleshooting the equipment the patrol boat equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and identify causes for equipment failures to the component level.
Work from schematics, diagrams, and plans to perform testing and troubleshooting.
Perform lay-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
Perform start-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
Provide written reports for all work completed and documentation.
Maintain shop equipment and tools.
Provide technical support for marine mechanical systems and components (Cummins engines, Hamilton waterjets, Twin Disc gear transmissions, Westerbeke generator).
