Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking an on-site Construction Project Engineer in Richmond, CA to plan, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for marine projects. Typical project durations range from 3 to 24 months, covering bulk cargo and container wharves, terminals, piers, and offshore structures.

Requirements include a B.S. in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years in construction management or civil engineering, with experience in scheduling, estimating, and project management

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a technical area (Civil/Coastal/Mechanical/Ocean/Construction Management)
• Minimum 5 years of construction management or civil engineering experience
• Experience in marine, structures, heavy lifts, or concrete construction preferred
• Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and permits
• Prepare project work plans, work element plans, and JSAs
• Prepare pay estimates for client submittals
• Conduct critical path scheduling, baseline scheduling, and 3-week look-ahead scheduling
• Oversee cost control and project cost reporting
• Mentor field engineers on the project
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders
• Maintain project files and office organization
• Promote safety and ethical standards on site
• Supervise field engineers and enforce company policies
