Job summary

Manson Construction Co. in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior Estimator to identify and pursue strategic bid opportunities across the GECC region, shaping winning project strategies and collaborating with operations and leadership.

You will lead estimates, proposals, and budgets for marine construction and heavy civil/structural projects, managing an estimating team and coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to drive successful bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of preconstruction/estimating and/or operations experience on marine or heavy civil projects required.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership and team management experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with maritime construction environments and related disciplines (access, safety, piledriving, dredging, cofferdams, excavation, demolition, concrete construction, vessels and platforms, structural steel, rigging, shoring) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional growth through strategic pursuits and business development efforts aligned with GECC's markets and long-term vision.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers and engineering firms to identify projects and bidding opportunities.
• Lead an estimating team with timely rollout and execution of estimates, proposals, or budgets.
• Analyze plans and specifications to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for projects.
• Prepare bids and proposals, solicit and prequalify vendors or subcontractors, and determine cost effectiveness.
• Draft proposal letters and technical narratives for project proposals.
