Job summary

Sedgwick, Columbus or Dayton, Ohio, is hiring a Sr Adjuster/Marine Surveyor to investigate and adjust property and casualty claims with little supervision. You will inspect claims, determine coverage, and prepare cost estimates, working with claimants and witnesses to resolve matters efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, IIA-AIC designation, and an active adjuster license, with two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation required.
• Appropriate state adjuster license required.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspects claims and contacts involved parties in a timely manner.
• Investigates circumstances of claim(s) for coverage, cause, and damages.
• Examines policies to determine coverage and prepares estimates for repair or replacement.
• Conducts interviews with claimants and witnesses.
• Negotiates and settles 1st and 3rd party claims.
• Maintains client relationships and supports quality programs.
