Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd in Columbus or Dayton, Ohio seeks a Sr Adjuster/Marine Surveyor to investigate and adjust property and casualty claims with minimal supervision.

You will inspect claims, determine coverage, prepare repair estimates, interview claimants, negotiate settlements, and maintain client relationships. Two years of related experience and an active adjuster license are preferred with IIA-AIC designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• IIA-AIC designation required
• Appropriate state adjuster license required
• Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Inspects claims and contacts involved parties in a timely manner
• Investigates circumstances of claims for coverage, cause, and damages/reserves
• Examines policies and records to determine coverage
• Prepares estimates for cost of repair or replacement
• Conducts interviews with claimants and witnesses
• Negotiates and settles both first- and third-party claims
• Addresses salvage and subrogation as required by the client
• Maintains client relationships to assure repeated business referrals
