Job summary

Weeks Marine in Cranford, NJ is seeking a Senior Estimator to compile data and estimate production costs for large, complex marine and civil projects. You will handle material takeoffs, cost analysis, and presentation of discipline estimates while helping maintain historical databases and procedures.

Regional travel may be required. The role targets extensive experience in heavy civil marine work, with a degree in civil engineering or construction management and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management is required.
• Fluent use of English language in verbal and written form is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specifications.
• Perform site visits and meetings with owners and designers as required.
• Prepare take-offs and budgetary estimates.
• Establish means and methods of construction and perform engineering analyses to support them.
• Prepare cost analyses for all or portions of the projects.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses.
• Close out bids and assist in preparing supporting documentation.
• Visit projects to prepare cost analyses when needed.
