Job summary

Weeks Marine in Cranford, NJ is seeking a Senior Estimator to compile data and estimate production costs for large, complex marine and civil projects. You will handle material takeoffs, cost analysis, and presentation of discipline estimates while helping maintain historical databases and procedures.

Regional travel may be required. The role targets extensive experience in heavy civil marine work, with a degree in civil engineering or construction management and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management is required.
• Fluent use of English language in verbal and written form is required.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Estimator is responsible for gathering details and compiling data to estimate all production costs according to bid documents. The Estimator is responsible for material takeoffs, cost analysis, preparation, and presentation of discipline estimates for large and complex projects. The position also involves the maintenance of historical databases while assisting in the development of department procedures. The targeted markets include but are not limited to civil and marine construction.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction with at least 3 years in estimating preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management required
• Proficient skills in standard computer software packages
• Supervisory experience preferred
• This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language
• Experience interacting with engineers and other interdisciplinary teams.

Base Compensation:$117,000/yr -$154,000/yr
