Selby Jennings is partnering with a healthcare consulting firm to fill a hybrid MAPD actuary role in Tampa, FL. The position focuses on pricing, bid development, and strategic financial work for Medicare Advantage initiatives, with client exposure and leadership responsibilities.

You will mentor analysts, lead pricing projects, and collaborate with client leadership to drive MA performance and growth in a well-established healthcare consulting environment.

Qualifications

• FSA designation preferred, ASA considered.
• Significant MAPD pricing and bid-setting experience.
• Track record of leading projects and mentoring juniors.
• Strong communication skills; explain concepts to non-actuaries.
• Deep understanding of the Medicare Advantage market.
• Experience with ACA pricing, forecasting, or reserving a plus.
• Exposure to SQL, SAS, Python or similar analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development projects.
• Analyze healthcare data and translate into actionable insights.
• Communicate findings to clients to support decision-making.
• Manage projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Mentor analysts and junior actuaries.
• Collaborate with consulting teams and client leadership on MA initiatives.
