Job summary

NVIDIA in Redmond is seeking researchers and engineers for the DRIVE Road Structure, Online Mapping, and Context Fusion team to build the next generation of self-driving technology. You will develop advanced 3D world models that fuse map and perception data to help vehicles safely navigate complex roads in the U.S.

Qualifications

• PhD with 1+ year, MS with 4+ years, or BS with 6+ years in CS/CE or related field.
• Strong software development experience, preferably with robotics/autonomous vehicles.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in robotics and autonomous driving.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork in a diverse, global environment.
• Experience with embedded systems or automotive platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Core Autonomous Driving Systems by integrating perception and mapping technologies.
• Build Real-Time 3D World Models by fusing sensor and external data for planning and navigation.
• Support Mapless Driving with enriched BEV models for urban navigation.
• Enhance Scenario Understanding with static obstacles and occupancy grids and occlusion masks.
• Collaborate with perception and planning teams across disciplines.
• Maintain high standards with safe, reliable automotive-grade software.
