Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated test solutions for advanced AI hardware. You will build robust fixtures, interfaces, and test procedures to improve yield, throughput, and reliability across the production lifecycle.

You will work closely with hardware design, firmware, software, quality, and contract manufacturing teams to ensure repeatable, maintainable testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing test development, hardware validation, test automation, or production engineering (10 years ideal).
• Strong Python scripting for test automation and data processing.
• Hands-on experience testing electronic assemblies, computer systems, embedded hardware, or complex electromechanical products.
• Experience integrating automated test software with lab or manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test systems for hardware, including boards, interconnects, power, cooling and platforms.
• Design test strategies for board-level tests, system integration, diagnostics and acceptance.
• Create test procedures, specs, fixtures and docs for NPI and production ramp.
• Define pass/fail criteria with design, quality and test teams.
• Evaluate test methodologies and automation frameworks to improve throughput.
• Integrate test equipment and providers, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and interfaces.
• Support NPI builds, pilot production, qualification, and ramp.
• Troubleshoot failures and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
